Particle size distribution is an important quality characteristic for ceramic materials as well as materials such as coal, sand, metal powder, mineral blends, granulations and similar products. These materials are often abrasive and rapidly cause wear to normal metal surfaces. We offer special abrasion protection solutions for our standard particle probes in order to provide inline measurements during the processing of these particles despite adverse conditions. These usually consist of a hard-chrome layer with a thickness of up to 0.8 mm, permitting service lives of several months, even in pneumatic feed lines.
This makes it possible to measure even these “complicated” materials without much installation effort.
